Fall Colors Are Coming in Hot

Hurricane Joaquin certainly created quite the obstacle to getting outdoors and exploring the natural beauty that Virginia has to offer last weekend, but the tides have turned and Virginia is being treated to a weekend of beautiful weather. With a crisp fall breeze in the air, this weekend will be perfect for heading outside and exploring. Joaquin did bring with it one huge benefit as the rain mixed with the current dry weather is brewing the perfect storm for some beautiful fall colors. The peak season for foliage in Virginia falls during mid-October in the western half of the state and a couple weeks later in the eastern half near the shore.
