Adventure in Style with The Madison Look
Your weekend adventures are to become super stylish! Our friends at Madison Look compiled a list of style tips to keep you warm and fashionable this winter. Virginia is a big state with many different climates and landscapes, so take a loook at what our trendy friends recommend you wear for your next winter adventure:
Whether it’s a night downtown in Harrisonburg or a hike on Skyline Drive, winter weather has officially arrived in Virginia. It’s challenging to find an outfit that keeps you warm and looking stylish at the same time. The Madison Look has some tips to help you with layering. This way, you’ll be cozy and chic wherever you venture to.
1. Think Thin
Just because you’re layering clothes doesn’t mean they have to be thick. You also won’t
have to worry about looking too bulky.
2. Capes and Ponchos
Try a cape or a poncho instead of a jacket. This way, you can still be warm while allowing
yourself a little more mobility.
3. Vests
Wear a vest to keep warm! They come in a variety of styles and keep you warm, while
you can still show off what you’re wearing underneath.
4. Cut the Crop
If you find that you are drowning in the layers you have on, try adding a cropped jacket. This way you can stay warm and avoid losing shape.
5. Life in Color
Of course burgundy, black, neutrals and cranberry colors are all in this season. Don’t be afraid to keep your favorite bright color! Just incorporate it as a pop of color—there’s nothing wrong with some neon pink for the holidays.
