Fall Film Festivals
Back in the 1920s, when film used to be a new phenomenon, people would use the movies as an escape. Granted, this was during the Great Depression, but the sentiment is all the same. For almost 100 years, movies have been a getaway and they have evolved along with the rest of the country. Film festivals became popular in the late 1960s, and they have continued to blossom ever since. Thankfully, Virginia.com posted a list of six different fall film festivals that are all across the state.
One of the film festivals highlighted is the James River Shorts, located in Richmond, which is happening at the end of November. The first film festival to happen is starting today in Middleburg, called Middleburg Film Festival, and lasting all weekend.
Take a break this weekend, relax, kick back and watch some independent films.
