Go Bonkers for Bodo’s Bagels
I know what you’re thinking; VA Weekender is doing ANOTHER breakfast post. While this may be true, we left the doughnuts in Richmond and are now visiting Charlottesville for the popular Bodo’s Bagels. This bagel place has three different locations and all are located in Charl
ottesville. This means that wherever you are in the area, there is sure to be a Bodo’s there to serve you.
Each day Bodo’s creates their signature bagels from scratch featuring all-natural ingredients like unbleached flour. While this bakery may be based in Virginia, Bodo’s uses New York bagel cooking methods (such as boiling the bagel before baking)— probably the reason they are so irresistible. Along with the bagels, creame
cheeses and spreads are also made from scratch daily in the Bodo’s kitchen! If you’re not in the breakfast mood, not to worry! This bakery also sells sandwiches, salads and more.
Bodo’s has received rave reviews from Charlottesville residents, UVA students and those just passing through! And it seems like just about every item on the menus has been reviewed as someone’s favorite. So go ahead and give Bodo’s Bakery a try.
*Expert tip: Arrive early to avoid lines. However, if you do get stuck in a long line the food is worth the wait and the service moves pretty quickly!
