Only Run this if you Dare!

With Halloween upon us and a new spotlight city this week, I decided to share the most spooktacular Halloween “fit” finds in VA Beach.The Anthem Wicked 10K is Saturday and is a guaranteed ghoulishly good time.

Starting at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, this event attracts over 8,000 participants, features a 6.2 mile run, live music, catered food and a costume contest. Oh yeah… and Blue Moon Beer for hydration at the hauntingly huge post-race party on the beach.

If you’re ready to run, sign up here and get your creative juices flowing to put together an award winning costume. Race kickoff is 8 a.m. All 10K participants get a finisher medal and race tech shirt. The race route is flat, fast and scenic as it goes along the boardwalk.

Since I'm briging this freakishly fun run to you at such short notice, you may opt to be a spectator or volunteer. Volunteering at the race is a great excuse to dress up in Halloween garb and be part of the fun. Th

ere are plenty of race-day opportunities to get involved with the spooky surprises throughout the event.
